I came across this article posted at The Conversation and decided to share it with my readers. To cut the long story short, how do you see using a smiley-face emoji to unlock your smartphone rather than the conventional four-digit PIN.
I know a lot of people would go for a four-digit PIN because it is easier to remember than some random smiley-faces which has the tendency of being forgotten. Also, if you are afraid whether your smartphone security may be at risk, put away your fears, because this study shows that it is very hard to steal an emoji passcode consisting of six random and carefully chosen emoji.
Is an emoji password practical? Yes and you may end up ditching the regular four-digit PIN for it.
Would you consider using an emoji password on your smartphone? Let us know in the comments below.
